From 2001 -2011 this the Jawbone Publishing Corporation website. The content below is from the site's various archived pages.

Jawbone published Non-Fiction, Fiction, Health Books, Inspirational/Gift, Instructional, Jawbreakers for Kids!, and Young Adults. I always enjoyed perusing this website to see what was new in their Jawbreaker Books for Kids section. One of their favorites wasa Wandawillie. This story was about a young princess who has a tiny kangaroo pet, Wandawillie. The Princess is beloved by many animals. One day a local wicked witch who wants to kill her takes control of the princess's lands. The tiny kangaroo,Wandawillie, and the other pets of the princess spring into action to foil the dastardly deed. I can picture in my mind my three little kids dressed for the night in their over sized batman t shirts and long johns snuggled in my bed while I would read the story of Wandawillie or some other children's book published by Jawbreaker. Back then, just as today our family carries on the tradition of reading while wearing Batman t-shirts. We just came back from Florida, and just about every picture has us in Batman apparel of one sort or another. T shirts are the favorites of the younger adults while my children favor the always in stock Batman shirts at MoonAtMidnight - there are so many different types. Thank you Jawbreaker Publishing for providing us many hours of wonderful reading time.

ENDORSEMENTS

"Thank you for the interesting and informative presentation that you conducted for our students at Janie H. Wilson's Young Authors' Conference. It was a great climax for their attempts at being young authors.

Each child left your presentation with the desire to become a published author. Even many of our faculty members were interested in having their works published.

Thank you again for helping us to instill the desire to write in our school. Hope to see you again next year!"

Deloris O'Hern Reading Coach

"I met Mrs. Ballman at the Florida Council of Teachers of English annual convention in Orlando in the fall of 2002 and I invited her to speak to our high school students and to conduct three writing seminars with literature and creative writing students.

She began by giving a general presentation to the high school student body. Her very interesting and informative talk included discussion of the importance of writing in the "real world" and an insight into the career areas of writing, editing, and publishing. She read excerpts from her book Tamarind to give students a view of writing style and techniques. Even at 8 a.m., our students showed great interest in the presentation, asked probing questions, and responded very enthusiastically. In the three informal seminars that followed, Mrs. Ballman showed delightful expertise in engaging the students in a discussion of writing, editing, and publishing. Her friendliness and rapport with our students encouraged their curiosity and analytical thinking.

A number of students stayed after the seminar to discuss their individual writings with Mrs. Ballman. Throughout the day, the students continued to comment on her visit and demonstrated much excitement about the possibilities of writing. Everyone at Vanguard benefited from her visit.

Jawbone Publishing Corporation's project of providing writers to visit schools is an excellent one, and I encourage all schools to take advantage of this opportunity.

" Murray Sellers, Ph.D English Department Chairman The Vanguard School Lake Wales, FL April 5, 2003."

Frequently Answered Questions

How long does it take to print a book?

Every book requires a different production schedule. If your book is in the beginning stages, it could take anywhere from 3 months to 1 year, sometimes longer. We provide both line and copy editing, and this often takes the largest amount of time in the production of a title.

What will it cost to print my books?

Since every book is different, we cannot give you a set price. You must take certain costs into account (i.e. paper, ink, time of year, etc.) and also the quantity of books printed. IF you order a small print run, we can print in-house. However, if you wish to print thousands of copies of your title, we will arrange to have them printed at the most economical price by our tried-and-true printing contacts.

How do I get my books into bookstores?

MARKETING! It's great to have a product but, if no one is aware of it, your wonderful book will remain unnoticed. Jawbone has marketing, advertising and media suggestions to jump-start your promotional campaign and book sales.
If your book is nationally distributed, your books will be included in databases of many retail chains and independent stores.

However, the authors who make the most money from book sales are those who are speaking and selling books in the back of the room … or those who are marketing directly to libraries and schools.
